Art Journey

Michael Hern is a Canadian painter based in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, creating vibrant artworks that reflect his unique experiences and cultural influences. He studied fine arts at Fanshawe College in London ON, and Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Upon graduating University, he has lived in Wuhan, China, Ulsan and Seoul South Korea and currently Saigon Vietnam since 2012. He has been exhibiting his artwork in Seoul, South Korea and Vietnam. He was drawn to the towering skyscrapers and their window reflected patterns in Korea. Yet since coming to Korea a stark contrast to the commercial world has inspired his paintings, as he has always been inspired by his surroundings. Despite travelling around many parts of the world, it's Vietnam that has really focused his tireless attention.
